Ray Bangs is a published author of several travel guide books, as well as a U.S. Army veteran, the former Harlem Globetrotters show announcer, and he now runs a small consulting firm, Cloud 9 Creative Solutions, providing web work and technological expertise to a wide range of business clients, community groups, and non-profit organizations.
Writing and working from a home office, Ray lives on a small hobby farm overlooking the Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon, and cares for a few horses, a pair of catahoula hog dogs, two dozen chickens, and a huge garden. Several times per year, Ray likes to travel, often in pursuit of epic scuba diving adventures. He and the dogs also greatly enjoy long roadtrips in his restored and customized 1971 VW camper van.
